Course Description: Provides an introduction to an aspect of terrorism largely ignored by academic writers. The focus will be on both the technical and behavioral aspects of cyber-terrorism. Readings and lectures will examine types of terrorist acts, motivations, vulnerabilities in the information infrastructure and end systems, and countermeasures both preventive and deterrent. Concerns such as constitutional issues, an imperfect world, winnable wars and mining will also be discussed.
