Dear Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Colleagues: UC Berkeley’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences is proud to again be offering SUPERB-IT: “Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley-Information Technology”, sponsored by the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program. We are targeting high-potential juniors who have a strong interest in graduate study, and who are either socio-economically disadvantaged, low-income, first-generation college students, or have very limited access to undergraduate research in their undergraduate institution. Over half of the EECS faculty has mentored SUPERB students during the past fifteen summers. A high percentage of former SUPERB students have gone on to earn graduate degrees in either Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. SUPERB-Information Technology will take place from June 10 to August 3, 2007. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2007. Students will be notified of their admissions decision by mid-March, 2007. Students can find information and download an application by Going to the following URL: http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/Programs/ugrad/superb/superb.html I would greatly appreciate your making available the attached flyer to appropriate staff and student organizations. If you have any further questions about our SUPERB program, please contact Elisa Lewis, elisa at eecs.berkeley.edu (510-642-7372). Thank you in advance -- Elisa Lewis Program Coordinator Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Room 205 Cory Hall Berkeley, CA 94720 510/642-7372 direct 510/642-7644 fax
